USO Holiday 2020

What a year it’s been and this month proved to be no different.
The USO San Diego team and force of volunteers stepped up to serve our Military and their families throughout December. The month kicked off with an amazing Giving Tuesday sponsored by Harrah’s Resort Southern California, providing over 1,000 “grab-and-go” bags stuffed with calling cards to keep deploying service members connected to loved ones. Santa Claus arrived to town early, greeting military families throughout Camp Pendleton and delivering books and gifts provided by GEICO. Then, the USO team activated to support the service members and families impacted by the Creek fire, distributing food and supplies to those evacuated from their homes. To cap off the year on a cheery note, Geppetto’s Toys - A San Diego Tradition supported the annual Giving Tree program, gifting joy to San Diego military and families.
We are grateful for everyone who supports the USO mission, especially our incredible volunteers. We thank you all, our Force Behind the Forces, for being there to deliver our mission and programs on a moment’s notice. We appreciate all you do to help the USO keep our service members connected to family, home and country.
We wish you all a healthy and safe New Year!
