USO Camp Pendleton Easter Bunny Parade

USO Easter Bunny traveled across Camp Pendleton during COVID-19.

COVID-19 has changed a lot of family traditions this year, one being the annual trip to see the Easter Bunny. COVID-19 has also pushed our USO Camp Pendleton staff be become more creative in ways to improve morale across the base, and not just for the Marines and Sailors, but also their families. When Easter Season rolled around it was pretty evident that the state of California was going to be sheltering in place for a while long, so our USO Camp Pendleton staff braved the rainy weather and brought the Easter Bunny to our military families across MCB Camp Pendleton.
The Easter Bunny traveled over 103 miles in the USO Jeep to visit 16 different base neighborhoods and waved and spread Easter cheer to over 2000 base residents. A USO Volunteer also followed behind with a giant carrot in tow in case that bunny decided it was time for a snack! It was amazing to see the families stand in their drive ways and the kiddos wave to the Easter Bunny, making everyone’s day a little brighter.
