USO San Diego Mobile Farmers Market at Petco Park

One of the USO San Diego Mobile Farmer’s Market was held on Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 9 am to 11 am to honor the military during Armed Forces Day, the USO San Diego Staff along with about 25 volunteers distributed goods drive through style.

We serviced a total of 649 households with over 1100 individuals who registered prior to the event.

Our Mobile and Logistics Staff teamed up with the San Diego Padres Staff to unload USDA Farm to Families pre-boxed produce from the San Diego Food Bank. Along with the produce were donations from Kind Bars, See’s Chocolates and Powerade from Coca-Cola.

Each station was manned with USO staff and volunteers starting with the registration line for check-in, a toy station, food and drink stations for the military families to enjoy. Plus a bonus guest appearance from the San Diego Padre’s mascot, The Friar.
