Worldwide access – Within the global network of USO’s more than 230 locations – located on military installations, airports and in military communities – we offer on-demand services through digital channels and the USO’s virtual, mobile-responsive Action Plan app. Additionally, USO Transition services are co-located with USO centers across the U.S.
Personalized assistance – USO Transitions employs scouts, individuals who work one-on-one with service members and their families to help them achieve their personal and professional transition goals by building an individualized action plan.
Powerful, on-demand tools – In partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring our Heroes, the USO offers an app-based Resume Engine that accurately translates military experience into a powerful civilian resume that is then connected to a vast network of companies that are seeking to hire service members. Additionally, the USO and Veterati provide digital mentorship on demand to service members seeking the critical advice, assistance and connection to help job seekers excel in their career journey.
Partnerships – USO Transition is connected to long-standing partners in communities across the nation. Thank you so much for all that the USO does for families, especially during this very interesting time we live in and the unique holiday season. We moved here a year ago, ahead of my husband. We knew no one and could not live in military housing due to our dog (we have a rottweiler), so we felt very isolated. It felt very lonely before we started coming to the USO. Before the pandemic, we would come to the USO at least once a week, and it was always such a joy and friendly place. My twins loved coming to all of the events, playing at the center, and meeting new people. Your staff was always so friendly to us, and it was nice to interact with others. Thank you for being there for us, especially during that difficult transition. We really appreciate all that you do to support families! Have a wonderful weekend!!Hickman Family Find out how to support USO
